My first day of practicum was a long one, but I think it's going to be a great year! My first class is still a week from tomorrow, and I have another trip to Virginia between now and then. I have a little bit of a headache now, but I think it's from wearing a headband all day. In any case, I hope I'm off to bed pretty soon here.

One more thing... I would just like to reiterate how much better full screen is than wide screen.

Sunburned!

I went to Water Country USA today for about two hours with the intention of getting a tan before school starts. It will be a tan next week, I'm sure. But for now it kind of hurts...

In my absence (but not because of it), Mona had a little run-in with a bat in our kitchen. Keep your fingers crossed that she will remain rabies-free.

This morning I had two apple turnovers for breakfast and they were quite good. Turnovers are one of my favorite breakfast foods.

That's about all. I'm going to enjoy my last day of relaxation in Virginia tomorrow and then head home on Thursday!

Today was my last day of summer practicum! My supervisor got me a cute little gift and I took in cupcakes for people. I had a great time at my placement and I'll actually miss it a little! And my summer classes are officially over, although I only have official grades in two of them so far.

I took an allergy pill this morning and ended up taking a 4 hour nap this afternoon. It was fabulous.

Saturday morning I'm leaving for Anytown... yay! I'm excited about it. And then the next week I'm going to Virginia for a week and then I'm going to a Ben Harper concert in Kansas City and then classes start again! I am looking forward to some more sleeping and reading before school and practicum start up again.

One other cool thing is that I saw this book at Borders called The Emperor of Wine, about the wine critic/ big cheese Robert Parker. There's a whole little section about my uncle and the lawsuit my family's winery brought against him in the early 90's. It was neat to see us in print!

Sigh. Ok, I think I'm off to revel in my free time. No homework!
